HOW IT ALL STARTED

I remember sitting at the desk in the corner of my cozy apartment in Halifax that I shared with my husband Darrien. I sat with my hands in my head, doing the usual, researching available second hustles that would give me a sense of fulfillment.

I had a strong passion for helping others but didn’t feel I was walking in my purpose at my 9-5 job as an Accountant.

As I sat down, racking my brain, I remembered a course I did four years ago in design. I loved it. It tapped into a part of me that at the time, I didn’t know I craved.

My thoughts immediately went from worry to hope as I searched Google to find out how to make it a legit business. With the desire to help entrepreneurs and a husband that reminded me of my strengths + talents & Google, Thrive Design Haus came to be.

But what you see now isn’t always what it was. I began to take clients here and there, not pouring my everything into it. While I was doing this, Darrien and I decided to become full-time travelers. This meant it was time to stop sleeping on myself and Thrive, finally.

Being a full-time traveler came with full flexibility and Thrive was like a missing piece to my plan. 

Everything you see is what happens when you stop waiting for the perfect moment to start - it doesn’t exist. Thrive became a full design service when I was confident enough to call myself a designer.

My designs empower my clients, allowing them to be confident enough to step into their purpose. 

Although Design is nothing like Accounting, I wouldn’t change a thing. Design puts the power of transformation in my hands. Allowing me to see the total transformation before I get started.
